A reflection on Skirt Club’s Inner Muse Retreat and the rise of sacred erotic spaces.

A New Kind of Women’s Gathering
In an era when women’s spaces are being reimagined, The Inner Muse Retreat marked a cultural shift. Hosted by Skirt Club, the global community for sexually curious women, and artistically directed by Amyann Faul, the visionary behind Mythic Body — an immersive form of temple theatre that blends storytelling, tantra, and ritual — the retreat was co-created with The Erotic Mystics, a circle of international artists devoted to sacred art and eros. The retreat transformed Skirt Club’s signature weekend into a full-bodied initiation: a theatre of awakening where every woman became both muse and mythmaker.
Over one luminous October weekend in Austin, a French-château-style sanctuary became the stage for deep feminine embodiment. The Mythic Body team created a whole world for them to enter: 5 rites of awakened sacred sexuality carried by a unified mythos of The Sapphic Mysteries; harp and siren song, candle magick, serpent dance, sex-magick ritual, and the tender art of sisterhood. Women arrived unsure of what they would find; they left having met and embodied their own inner muse.
Directing from the Quantum Field
I wasn’t physically there.
Border restrictions kept me in Toronto, yet I directed the entire retreat remotely — through video calls with my Mythic Body team, live coordination, and an uncanny sense of being bi-located. My body was in Canada; my consciousness was in the temple.
I could feel them. Each rite unfolding like a living transmission through my body. The harp notes, the breath, the serpents… it all arrived in me as if I were standing there inside the myth itself.
What unfolded was a revelation in feminine leadership. Our team — Chelsae Zirna, Karen Fahey Magi, Myriam Eydo, and Kalibre Anderson — moved like one organism. Every ritual, every sound cue, every invocation aligned in effortless synchronicity. It proved that creative direction can now happen in multidimensional space: across distance, frequency, and time zones.

From Sex Parties to Sacred Feminine
Genevieve Lejeune, founder of Skirt Club said something on our debrief call today that crystallized it all for us:
“We’ve held sexual spaces for twelve years, but this was different. We touched something divine.”
Skirt Club, long known for creating safe, sensual play spaces for women, is now stepping into its next incarnation: blending sexuality with spirituality, and pleasure with purpose. The success of Inner Muse proved what many of us have felt rising collectively: a hunger for the soul of sexuality.
As Genevieve put it, “Sex magick is the thing right now because women are ready to feel again.”
The upcoming Skirt Club App, launching early 2025, will extend this vision: offering classes, community threads, and divine-feminine mentorship. Think SoHo House meets a modern mystery school for women reclaiming their erotic power.

The Mythic Body of the Movement
Our Mythic Body priestess team witnessed transformations that words barely hold: tears, laughter, spontaneous orgasms, and moments of quiet grace. Karen’s candle magick sessions helped women see light in themselves again. Myriam’s harp and voice wove spells of remembrance. Chelsae’s leadership created a container of sisterhood so soft on the nervous system, hearts melted open, pleasure came alive. Kalibre Andersen brought her sacred stripper skills (her "pleasure-formance") and wow'd the crowd as the embodied muse of erotic dance, and then led the Sex Magick rite.
We weren’t teaching women how to be sexy.
We were reminding them that pleasure is a spiritual technology.
This is the heart of Mythic Body — where theatre, tantra, and storytelling converge to awaken the intelligence of eros. Inner Muse was one expression of a much larger evolution: the return of the sacred feminine arts into mainstream culture.

The Dawn of a New Collaboration
As our teams debriefed earlier today, the next portal opened. We’ve already set dates for the Spring Retreat (May 2026) and begun exploring how to bring this magic online, through immersive live teachings and digital temple spaces.
For me, the experience reaffirmed a truth I’ve always known: when women gather in authenticity, artistry, and erotic reverence, the world shifts.
What began as a weekend retreat has become a movement: one that bridges Skirt Club’s bold sensuality with Mythic Body’s sacred storytelling.
Together, we’re going far beyond creating events.
We’re weaving the mythology of a new feminine age.
