Disclaimers
LAST UPDATE · JUNE 2026
Please read these disclaimers carefully before using the site or any Offering. They apply to amyann.art and to every free practice, course, class, audio, guide, session, group program, retreat, ceremony, and other offering ("Offerings") from Amyann · Embodiment Arts ("Amyann", "we"). By accessing the site or participating in any Offering, you accept these disclaimers, which form part of, and are incorporated into, our Terms of Service.
1. Educational & personal-development purpose only
Everything we share is for general educational, informational, and personal-development purposes. It reflects our own experience, training, and perspective as educators in somatic embodiment, breathwork, and pleasure, and it is offered to support your own self-directed learning and exploration. It is not professional advice for your specific situation, and you should not treat it as such.
2. Not medical, psychological, or healthcare advice
Our Offerings are not medical, psychological, psychiatric, psychotherapeutic, counselling, nursing, or other professional healthcare advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and are not a substitute for care from a licensed professional. Amyann is an educator and embodiment coach, not a physician, nurse, psychologist, psychiatrist, licensed therapist, or other licensed healthcare provider, and nothing in the Offerings is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, manage, or prevent any physical or mental condition. Always seek the advice of a qualified professional with any questions about your health, and never disregard or delay seeking professional advice because of something you read, heard, or practised here.
3. Consult a professional & health contraindications
Consult your physician or a qualified healthcare provider before beginning any new practice, particularly an intense, physical, breath-based, or arousal-based one, and especially if any of the following apply to you:
-
pregnancy or recent childbirth;
-
cardiovascular conditions, high or low blood pressure, or a history of stroke or aneurysm;
-
epilepsy, seizures, or a history of fainting;
-
respiratory conditions (e.g., asthma);
-
glaucoma or retinal conditions;
-
recent surgery, injury, or any acute physical condition;
-
a psychiatric or psychological condition, including a history of psychosis, bipolar disorder, severe anxiety, dissociation, or PTSD;
-
use of medication or substances that could be affected by altered states.
You are responsible for determining whether a practice is appropriate for you and for adapting or stopping at any time. If you are unsure, do not proceed until you have professional guidance.
4. Breathwork & intense-practice safety
⚠️ Never practise breath-holds, rapid breathing, or other intense techniques while driving or operating machinery, in or near water, in a bath, while standing, or in any situation where dizziness, lightheadedness, or an altered state could cause injury. Practise in a safe, comfortable space where you can lie or sit down.
Breath and energy practices can cause temporary dizziness, tingling, muscular tension, emotional release, or altered states. These are common but require a safe setting. Go gently, build gradually, and stop immediately if you feel pain, faint, or unwell. If you have any of the conditions in Section 3, do not practise without professional clearance.
5. Not a substitute for therapy and not crisis support
Our Offerings are not psychotherapy, counselling, or crisis intervention, and we are not a crisis service. If you are experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, are in crisis, or are having thoughts of harming yourself or others, please stop and seek immediate help: call your local emergency number, go to the nearest emergency department, or contact a qualified crisis line in your area. Please reach out to a licensed mental-health professional for ongoing support with trauma, mental illness, or acute distress.
6. Trauma, strong emotions & intense experiences
Somatic, sexual, and energetic practices can bring up strong sensations and intense emotional, psychological, or energetic experiences, including the surfacing of difficult memories, grief, fear, or arousal. This can be a natural part of the process, but it can also be overwhelming. You are encouraged to move slowly, to titrate (work in small, tolerable amounts), to rest, and to seek qualified trauma-informed support if anything arises that is more than you can hold on your own. You are responsible for your own emotional safety and aftercare.
7. Adult content
Our work openly explores sexuality, eros, pleasure, and intimacy and may include frank language and themes. It is intended solely for consenting adults aged 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live). By accessing it, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that it is lawful for you to view such content where you are. Please keep materials away from minors.
8. Consent, boundaries & personal responsibility
This work centres consent. You are always in charge of your own body, choices, and pace. You agree to honour your own limits, to give and withdraw consent freely, to never override your own "no", and to adapt or stop any practice that does not feel right. You take full responsibility for the decisions you make and the actions you take in connection with the Offerings.
9. Relational & partner responsibility
If you bring these practices into a relationship or share them with a partner or anyone else, you are responsible for doing so consensually, ethically, and lawfully, with the full, informed, ongoing consent of everyone involved. Nothing we teach is permission to pressure, coerce, or act without another person's enthusiastic consent. Practices are for consenting adults only.
10. Voluntary participation & assumption of risk
Your participation in any Offering is entirely voluntary. You acknowledge that somatic, breath, movement, energetic, sexual, and erotic-embodiment practices carry inherent risks, including physical, emotional, and psychological risks, and you knowingly and freely assume all such risks. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release, waive, and discharge Amyann and its owners, team, contractors, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, or demands arising out of or related to your participation, except where such a release is not permitted by law.
11. No professional, fiduciary, or confidential relationship
Using the Services or participating in an Offering does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, attorney-client, or other professional, fiduciary, or legally privileged relationship between you and Amyann. While we treat what you share with discretion and care, coaching and education are not legally confidential, and we may disclose information where required by law or to protect safety (see our Privacy Policy).
12. No guarantee of results
Experiences and outcomes differ from person to person and depend on many factors within your own life, body, history, and effort that are outside our control. We make no representation, warranty, or guarantee of any specific physical, sexual, emotional, relational, spiritual, or other result. Any examples we share are illustrative, not promises.
13. Financial/earnings disclaimer
Where any Offering or content touches on creativity, work, manifestation, business, or income, nothing in it is a promise or guarantee of earnings, financial results, or success. Any figures or examples are illustrative only, and your results depend on factors we do not control. Nothing here is financial, investment, tax, or business advice.
14. Testimonials reflect individual experiences
Stories, reviews, and testimonials we share are genuine accounts of individual experiences at a particular time. They are not typical, average, or guaranteed results, are not independently verified, and should not be read as a promise that you will experience the same. Your experience will be your own.
15. Affiliate, sponsorship & advertising disclosure
From time to time we recommend third-party products, tools, or services, and we may include affiliate links or receive a commission, gift, or other compensation if you purchase through them, at no extra cost to you. We only share things we genuinely believe in, but our opinions are our own, and a recommendation is not a guarantee. We aim to comply with applicable advertising and disclosure rules (such as the FTC's). We are not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or practices of third parties; any dealing with them is between you and them.
16. External links
The Services may link to third-party websites, platforms, and resources for convenience. We do not control or endorse, and are not responsible for, their content, products, or practices. Visiting them is at your own risk and subject to their terms and policies.
17. Content provided "as is" & accuracy
All content including audio, video, written, and live, is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis for information and practice only. While we aim for accuracy, we make no warranty that content is complete, current, or error-free, and how you interpret and apply it is your responsibility.
18. Live events & in-person experiences
Retreats, immersions, ceremonies, and other in-person or live experiences carry additional inherent risks, including those relating to travel, movement, physical activity, group settings, and venue. By participating you assume those risks and agree to follow all safety instructions, health requirements, and codes of conduct provided for the event, in addition to these disclaimers and our Terms of Service.
19. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amyann and its owners, team, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss or damage arising out of or related to your use of, reliance on, or participation in the Services or Offerings, including the practices described in them. This section operates together with the limitation-of-liability and indemnification provisions of our Terms of Service. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
20. Changes & questions
We may update these disclaimers from time to time; the "Last updated" date shows the current version. If anything here is unclear, or you're unsure whether a practice is right for you, please reach out before you begin: magic@amyann.art. When in doubt, go slow, stay within your consent, and consult a qualified professional.
